How to deal with the problem of not being able to download files or multiple files from a custom button

If when outputting a file from the custom button in Office File Creator, the file cannot be downloaded a second time and the screen needs to be refreshed a second time, or if multiple files cannot be downloaded from the list view, check your browser settings.

 

Check the following two points in your browser settings.

  • Automatic download settings for the site
  • Sites that do not allow automatic downloading of multiple files

 

As an example, the Chrome settings are as follows.

 

Check Site "Automatic downloads" settings

Click the ":" button in the upper right corner of your browser and click "Settings".

 

Click "Privacy and security" on the left sidebar, then click "Site settings".

 

Click "View permissions and data stored across sites.

 

Click "salesforce.com" and then click the target domain URL.

 

Check "Automatic downloads".

 

If "Automatic downloads" is "Block", change it to "Ask (default)" or "Allow".

 

 

Check "Not allowed to automatically download multiple files" settings

Click "Privacy and security" on the left sidebar, then click "Site settings".

 

Click "Additional permissions", then click "Automatic downloads".

 

Check the list of URLs in "Not allowed to automatically download multiple files".

 

Click the ":" at the right end of the target URL and click "Remove".
